It is used to determine shrinkage of fabrics free of stress and exposed to vapour at a closed area. It has an automatic timer and 4 sample positioners as well as stainless steel fabric support trunk.

The Vapour Fixation Plate is used together with the vapour cylinders while testing shrinkage indolence of fabrics.

The plate is used for marking the fabrics pre-testing using a 250 mm counter and reading the shrinkage directly as percentage post-testing.
